Adobe Flash. (Exercise 1)

A new semester, more new cool stuff to learn. In this semester, we are being taught on how to use Adobe Flash. A small exercise was given to us, which is to create a 4 second animation. Below is the finished product, in avi form.

The above are the pictures which I'm going to use in my animation. My theme is 'Michael Jackson'.

1. I opened my Adobe Flash (I'm using CS5), chose the ActionScript 3.0, then changed the size of the stage to 400 x 250 as per stated in our exercise requirement.

2. I changed the frame rate to 12 frames per second, then opened the Import to Library option under the File tab. I chose the 4 pictures which I'm going to use and imported them to my library.

3. I created a new layer in my timeline, then created a frame (shortcut key: F5) at the 48th frame to mark the end of my animation (12 frames per second, 4 seconds). I placed my background picture in my stage, then renamed the layer as 'background'.

4. I created a new layer, created a frame at the 48th frame again, and placed and arranged the picture as shown above. I then renamed the layer as 'picture 1'.

5. I created a new layer, created a keyframe at the 12th frame (shortcut key; F6), and placed and arranged the picture as shown above. I then renamed the layer as 'picture 2'.

6. I created a new layer, created a keyframe at the 24th frame (shortcut key; F6), and placed and arranged the picture as shown above. I then renamed the layer as 'picture 3'.

7. I created a folder, named it as 'pictures', and moved my picture layers into the folder as shown above.

8. I created a new layer, created a keyframe at the 36th frame (shortcut key; F6), and used the Type Tool and used 'Disintegration' font and font size 48, typing the words 'Michael Jackson' as shown above. I then renamed the layer as 'font'.

9. I opened the Filters tab, chose the Drop Shadow option, and chose orange colour for the shadow as shown above.

  1. Your movie did not play properly. I saw your movie when you showed it to me in class.

Try to publish it properly again.

I haven't see your postings for MCC0033 Computer Graphics 3, Assignment 1. Where is your execution: Layout and sketches?

It would be better to mention your idea at your blog so that I can comment before your submission.
